I´ll promise you a rosen garden
The rose garden
One of the most important rose growers in Europe, Peter Lambert (1859-1939), is from Trier. He gave the world many rose varieties that are still popular today.
Keeping up with this tradition, the rose garden in Nells Park was created in 1958, which was refined in 1981. For its creation 3000 cubic meters of the best clay soil were excavated, and mounds and slopes were modelled thus creating a small paradise with around 500 types of roses on 9000 square meters, including many so-called living museum specimens. Worth a walk not only for flower lovers!
